Advertising Disclosure

Pets Facts is free to read. We cover hosting, research time and the tools behind the site by showing advertising. This page explains who serves those ads, what they can and cannot influence, and how to change what you are shown.

Who Serves the Ads

Most advertising here is delivered by third-party ad networks, primarily Google AdSense. Those networks select and serve individual ads automatically. We do not hand-pick them, we are not told in advance which brands will appear, and an ad showing up beside an article is not an endorsement from us.

Advertising Never Changes Our Guidance

No advertiser sees a guide before it publishes, and no advertiser can ask for one to be changed. We do not accept payment to include, remove or soften anything. Our recommendations follow the standards in our Editorial Policy, and the commercial side of the site is not allowed near them.

Cookies and Personalised Advertising

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits.

You are not stuck with personalised advertising. You can:

Opting out does not remove advertising. It means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your browsing history.

Ads Are Kept Separate from Articles

Advertising is placed around and between our content, never disguised as it. We do not run ads styled to look like our own article links, and we do not drop them inside a sentence or a step in a guide where they could be mistaken for something we wrote.

Sponsored Content

We do not currently publish sponsored posts or paid reviews. If that ever changes, the page will carry a clear label at the top before you read a word of it, and this page will be updated to match.

Products That Affect Your Pet’s Health

Advertising here may include pet food, supplements, medication or equipment. We play no part in choosing those ads and have no way to judge whether a product suits your animal. Speak to your vet before giving your pet anything you first saw in an advertisement. See our Disclaimer for more.

Questions

If an ad on this site looks wrong, misleading or out of place, please tell us through our contact page. We would rather hear about it than leave it running.
